ID: find-animation-opportunities.
What it does
Examines interactions that currently have no animation and evaluates each proposal through four questions: frequency, purpose, speed and usefulness to the task. Discards decorative effects on data to be read and frequent keyboard actions. Delivers up to five to seven justified opportunities with precise recipes, plus rejected candidates. Works read-only and leaves implementation to a subsequent assignment.
When to use it
Use it to ask where motion could clarify a state change or provide feedback in an existing interface. To fix existing animations, choose improve-animations or review-animations.
How to use it
Ask for it by name, or invoke it with /find-animation-opportunities in Claude Code or $find-animation-opportunities in Codex. Provide the screen or flow, components and action frequency. Request a limited set of opportunities with purpose, properties, duration and reduced-motion handling; also retain the reasons other animations would be unnecessary.
What it delivers
- Opportunities with location, purpose and recipe
- Rejected candidates and reasons
- Priorities and proposed next step
Example
Examine the projects screen and propose only animations that help explain creation, deletion or state changes. Do not modify code.
