ID: mobbin-search.
What it does
Prepares search terms, the iOS or web platform and result count, then uses search_screens to open images returned by Mobbin. Describes only what it sees, such as fields, CTAs and screen structure. Answers bounded questions with a few references; for broader research, proposes an HTML collection and agrees its structure before building it. Each screen retains its product and source link.
When to use it
Use it to understand how other products handle login, filters, onboarding or another pattern. A pattern appearing in an app does not prove its effectiveness for your audience. Style research and moodboard selection use the jado-visual-researcher procedure.
How to use it
Ask for it by name, or invoke it with /search in Claude Code or $search in Codex. Specify the problem, platform and desired number of references. Avoid imposing undecided details in the query. Request comparable observations and sources; if the result is a collection, define its grouping and destination.
What it delivers
- Observed screenshots and Mobbin links
- Comparison of the patterns present
- An agreed HTML collection, if applicable
Example
Find five web screens with complex table filters. Compare filter and reset action placement and link each example to Mobbin.
Prerequisites
- Requires the Mobbin search_screens tool to be available. CDN images used in the HTML collection may expire after about an hour: the page is not a permanent archive.
