What it does
Records checks, evidence and coverage at the stage's evidence level: in the handoff for explore, with captures for refine, persisted in the product repository for ship. Defines the handoff every agent returns, including the decisions taken and the questions for the user with a recommended default.
When to use it
Use it in role handoffs, before passing a route check and after corrections. Prevents reading a skill from being reported as applying it, or a captured but unopened image from being considered inspected.
How to use it
Ask for it by name, or invoke it with /jado-evidence-contract in Claude Code or $jado-evidence-contract in Codex. Provide the result, revision, stage, required checks and available evidence. Associate each check with the portion covered and flag stale evidence. For an independent review, identify a reviewer distinct from the author.
