ID: jado-reference-analysis.
What it does
Defines the question, context and criteria before research. Compares relevant products and observed references, explaining selections, exclusions and adaptations; result order and popularity do not prove effectiveness.
When to use it
Use it after visual research and when a reference is about to influence a brief or implementation. An unavailable image remains a gap: the procedure does not reconstruct what it has not seen.
How to use it
Ask for it by name, or invoke it with /jado-reference-analysis in Claude Code or $jado-reference-analysis in Codex. Provide the brief, references and already approved decisions. Request an analysis of each reference covering relevance, transferable parts and conflicts. Specify who receives the research and which decision they must be able to make.
What it delivers
- References with source and role
- Annotations on adaptations and conflicts
- Research transferable to UX or visual design
Example
Analyze these three dashboard references for our product: explain what to adapt to the required density and what not to copy.
