ID: jado-art-direction.
What it does
Turns the brief, observed references and constraints into a visual concept and choices for typography, color, imagery and composition, using fontshare and better-typography for type and better-colors and oklch-skill for palettes. In explore it sketches several contrasting directions; in refine it fixes one with reviewable rules.
When to use it
When a visual direction is missing or a new brand, UI or imagery language is requested.
How to use it
Ask for it by name, or invoke it with /jado-art-direction in Claude Code or $jado-art-direction in Codex. Provide the audience, goal, constraints, references, stage and decision authority. Specify the surface and number of directions if you want a specific count.
What it delivers
- Direction proposed or selected according to the mandate
- Observable criteria for the designer and reviewer
- References, limitations and assumptions for the alternatives
Example
Define two structurally different directions for the landing page, with shared content and reasons for the choices.
