ID: ui-screenshot.

What it does

Defines a matrix of pages, states, viewports, density, theme and provenance. Reaches the actual state and verifies that relevant content, authentication and consent are ready; unwanted loaders or errors fail the capture. The driver saves raw PNGs, framed images and a manifest with route, revision, timestamp, dimensions and checksum. Each framed image is opened and checked before delivery.

When to use it

Use it explicitly to document a visual version, compare changes or prepare images for Figma. A screenshot demonstrates rendering of the shown state; behaviors require separate verification.

How to use it

Ask for it by name, or invoke it with /ui-screenshot in Claude Code or $ui-screenshot in Codex. Specify the URL, states, viewports and archive destination. For a long page, choose viewport, full-page image or segments. Provide access to the required state and the source revision if historical. Request raw files and a manifest as well as final images.

What it delivers

  • Framed PNGs ready for presentation
  • Raw PNGs under raw/
  • Complete manifest with provenance and checks

Example

Capture the project detail in its complete state on desktop and mobile. For the long page, use consecutive segments and preserve the revision, raw files and manifest.

Prerequisites

  • Requires a reachable app and the capture driver runtime; authentication and consent must be satisfied when applicable.
