ID: varianthub-builder.
What it does
Reconstructs the chain from shared source through build, package, installed dependency and served UI. Identifies the target version from the configured source, then sets up or updates the registry, provider, catalog, rendering routes and immersive preview. For a local package, rebuilds and reinstalls the tarball. Verifies that components and pages open and retain comparison, navigation and direct reload behavior.
When to use it
Use it for an explicit VariantHub initialization, update or maintenance assignment. It is not needed to create ordinary variants in a ready repository. Changes to the core and consumers keep separate boundaries and commits.
How to use it
Ask for it by name, or invoke it with /varianthub-builder in Claude Code or $varianthub-builder in Codex. Specify the repository to prepare, core source and compatibility constraints. Request a version inventory before changing dependencies, then test the UI actually served. If the source cannot be identified, clarify it before updating.
What it delivers
- Prepared or updated integration and dependencies
- Local documentation of registry, routes and source
- Evidence that the build, package and served UI match
Example
Update this repository’s VariantHub integration from the configured core. Verify the installed version, tarball, page routes and immersive comparison in the browser.
Prerequisites
- Requires an authoritative core source and access to the repositories or packages within the assignment.
