ID: fixing-metadata.
What it does
Verifies that each page has consistent, nonduplicated metadata. Checks indexing, canonical URL, Open Graph, Twitter cards, icons and alternate languages where present. Structured data must reflect real content: the skill does not invent prices, reviews or organization information. Preserves the project metadata system and proposes limited changes.
When to use it
Use it when publishing a shareable page, changing titles or previews, or suspecting inconsistent canonical URLs and robots tags. Noindex metadata does not provide access protection for a private site.
How to use it
Ask for it by name, or invoke it with /fixing-metadata in Claude Code or $fixing-metadata in Codex. Provide the pages, preferred domain, intended access and preview materials. Ask to compare title, description, canonical and og:url. Testing a social card requires a real URL reachable by the service that reads it.
What it delivers
- Findings on metadata and URLs
- Corrections within the existing mechanism
- Preview checks or access limitations
Example
Check the pricing page metadata: avoid duplication, use the correct canonical URL and verify the shared title, description and image.
