ID: review-animations.
What it does
Checks motion purpose and frequency, curves, duration, origin, interruptions, animated properties, accessibility and consistency. Reads standards to propose precise values. Returns a before/after table with reasons and locations, followed by a Block or Approve outcome based on observed defects. It is a specialized review: it does not build features or fix areas unrelated to motion.
When to use it
Use it explicitly to verify a diff or bounded set of animations before considering it ready. For an app-wide motion roadmap, use improve-animations; applying a correction requires a separate execution assignment.
How to use it
Ask for it by name, or invoke it with /review-animations in Claude Code or $review-animations in Codex. Specify the diff, components, expected behavior and available evidence. Request motion findings with file and line, replacement values and an outcome. When behavior cannot be judged from code, provide the preview or record the check still needed.
What it delivers
- Before/after table with rationale
- Issues ordered by impact
- Block or Approve outcome and verification limitations
Example
Review this drawer diff: check origin, closing during a gesture, reduced motion and animated property costs. Return findings and an outcome.
