ID: oklch-skill.
What it does
Works separately on lightness, chroma and hue to convert colors, generate scales and prepare themes. Loads the relevant reference for conversion, palettes, contrast or gamut. Checks sRGB and P3 limits and prepares fallbacks when needed; also covers Tailwind v4 tokens. Reports all changes in a before/after table.
When to use it
Use it when the project uses OKLCH or when you explicitly request conversion, scale generation, contrast correction or gamut handling. To assess the full meaning of color tokens, use better-colors while respecting the project notation.
How to use it
Ask for it by name, or invoke it with /oklch-skill in Claude Code or $oklch-skill in Codex. Provide original values, roles, actual backgrounds and the target format. For a scale, specify themes and uses of its steps; for contrast, identify the pairs to measure. Request calculated values, a complete table and relevant fallbacks.
What it delivers
- OKLCH conversions or scales
- Relevant contrast measurements and gamut checks
- Complete table of modified colors
Example
Convert these tokens to OKLCH and check the secondary text/surface pair in light and dark themes. Show every value before and after.
